Stress at work
Stress at work is one of the greatest causes of strain and leads to massive economic losses (source: seco). There are many methods on the market to strengthen stress resistance in the long term. However, these often require a continuous practice of mindfulness and self-reflection. But what many of these methods neglect is how to deal with acute stress.
And that is where ESM-Embodied Stress Management comes in. It is, so to speak, the first aid kit for stressful situations. When everything goes haywire, ESM offers a selection of nine simple movement exercises to help you regain your balance and remain capable of action. These “micromoves” are invisible to outsiders, but noticeable and effective for the practitioner.
ESM-Embodied Stress Management is easy to learn. The program is taught in workshops or 10-week courses and is after that available on demand. Although regular training is recommended, it is not essential for its effectiveness in acute stress situations.
